SAN FRANCISCO — September 30, 2011 — Health Mart®, a leading network of more than 2,800 independently owned pharmacies across all 50 states, today announced that the franchise was tied for the highest ranking in overall customer satisfaction among chain drug stores in the J.D. Power 2011 National Pharmacy Study. Health Mart’s customer satisfaction score was 851 (out of 1,000) compared to the chain average of 808.
In February, Health Mart was also recognized as a J.D. Power 2011 Customer Service Champion — one of only 40 companies to have earned this distinction.

The National Pharmacy Study was fielded between June and July 2011 with responses from more than 12,300 customers who filled a new prescription or refilled a prescription during the three months prior to the survey period. In its fifth year, the Study measures overall customer satisfaction with pharmacies using five key factors that contribute to customer satisfaction: prescription ordering and pick-up process; store; cost competitiveness; non-pharmacist staff; and pharmacist.
