October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Since October is breast cancer awareness month, this is a good time to remind women to do monthly self breast examinations! Women should start performing self examinations in their twenties and should have their technique reviewed by health care professionals at checkups. The best time to perform the exams is when the breasts are not tender or swollen, such as right after your menses cycle.

Remember, 40% of diagnosed breast cancers are detected by women who feel a lump, so become familiar with yours!
