Express Scripts

If you're an Express Scripts member, then you'll want to read this. As of January 1, 2012, Express Scripts will no longer be honored at Walgreens pharmacies nationwide. In northwest Indiana and northeast Illinois, that leaves thousands of Express Scripts members without a prescription provider.

Why the Change?

Express Scripts negotiates with pharmacies on your behalf to help lower the cost of prescription drugs. Unfortunately, Walgreens' proposed 2012 prices for your prescription drugs were much higher than other retailers like Fagen Pharmacy. As a result, Express Scripts prescription drug coverage will not be honored at Walgreens effective January 1, 2012.

Are You on the List?

Since thousands of area Express Scripts patients will be affected by this change, it's very possible that you may need to find a new pharmacy. Below, you will find a large list of companies that use Express Scripts in our area. As you can tell from the numbers, thousands of people just like you may be losing their ability to refill their prescriptions at a lower cost.

What You Need to Do.

Express Scripts is recommending that you transfer your prescriptions away from Walgreens and chose another pharmacy. Fagen Pharmacy participates in the Express Scripts program and we're here to help you transfer your prescription. Call or visit your local Fagen Pharmacy and our friendly staff will be more than willing to assist you with the transfer process.

As you can tell from the numbers below, you're not alone. Thousands of Express Scripts members will no longer be able to receive negotiated prescription drug pricing from area Walgreens. Fagen Pharmacy wants to remind Express Scripts members not to wait until the deadline to transfer your prescriptions away from Walgreens.
